1. I saw the pics of you having the Saturday morning session with the Domans. It looked like you guys were enjoying yourself. What were you eating?
-Yeah it was pretty good. We ate like a huge omelet type thing that they eat in Spain.
2. What was your favorite talk from what you viewed?
-Jeffery R. Holland where he talked at the beginning and left the mic drop.
3. Where did you watch the other sessions?
-On Saturday we went to a member's house. Then Sunday in the stake center.
4. What are your plans for baptisms coming up?
-We are hoping to get 3 to 6 this week but we'll see. We are excited to actually work this week because we really didn't last week. We were in Tuxtla a lot.
This is one amazing work. In the past month we saw many miracles and I'm honestly grateful for the opportunity that I've had to see the work with my eyes. This past month we were able to help 21 of our brothers and sisters come to the waters of baptism!!!
We are very proud of it because it was something that has never been done here in Tuxtla in this area. We were reminded this week of a scripture in Alma-- Alma 29:9, which talks about us being instruments.
This scripture came to mind because we were very proud of what had happened and then we felt a little bad like maybe we shouldn't be prideful. But there's a difference in that and rejoicing. Joy is exactly what this work brings into our lives and I invite all that are wondering if they should go on a mission or those who are just members, get active in the missionary work. Let God make you into an instrument in his hands.
The troubles and problems of life wont disappear but they will be a lot easier to overcome and I can promise you all that you will feel pure joy! This work is a marvelous one. God's hand is guiding it and as we forget about the world and focus on giving what we have to be instruments in the hands of the Lord, we will feel the pure joy that comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His work!!!
