Week 46: Dos Semanas de Locooo

So I'm not in Tapachula anymore. About two weeks ago we got a text that I was going back to Tuxtla in an area called Chapultapec. I honestly got a little sad at first because I was hoping to see grand success there in Tapachula. But out of nowhere I was back in a place that is very hard to work. 

I was thinking a lot about myself but then my companion reminded me that this is the Lord's work not ours. We cannot be thinking of ourselves. We must continue working thinking about nothing else other than the people that we are helping to come unto Christ. 

So I shut up and got to work. It was a fun few days. We put a few dates for baptisms and I was just excited in general and then two days later in the morning we received a call saying I was getting moved to Ocozocoautla (Coita)..... I thought I had learned to accept what the Lord wanted but I obviously didn't because i was like.."WHATTTTT" lol 

But then they told me what was happening here in Coita and what I was going to do here. Right now we have a tiny little town that doesn't know about the church and they just want religion in there lives. There are 40 families. We already have a place set up for our meetings and we are really excited to get the church established there in Yokwitz, and all of the other tiny towns we still haven't even discovered yet. 

After these two weeks I have learned that there really are no coincidences in life. The Lord has a plan for everything and everyone we must always just be willing to follow His plan We must follow His WILL, not ours, and when things get hard we must suffer with patience our afflictions and God will give us success ALWAYSSS!! 

It's a promise from the Lord in Alma 26:27!!!!

27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.

Week 44: 2 Weeks Down, 3 To Go!

Super Septiembre is in full effect!

We have been running to see the miracles that our Heavenly Father has planned for our brethren here in Tapachula Mexico. 

This week we were able to get two baptisms and prepping two more for this upcoming week!! 

The week was crazy with all of the activities planned for the ward that we have set up. It is always great to have activities where the members can get to know the people.

We are teaching and it brings everyone together!! 

But I gotta go right now. Sorry for such a short email.  We have to help our companionships visit a few people.

Week 43: Mucho Trabajo= Mucho diversión

This week we hit the ground running. This week we had many activities in the church to get everyone there and excited. We mixed our investigators and the members and saw much success. 

The members are really happy now because they are having activities almost every night, like sports or learning how to sew or family home evenings in the church. 

It has been a lot of fun. That's what the gospel is... FUNN. A lot of people don't believe you can have fun when you are a member of the church or at church even less. But it's not true. It is fun to be a part of the true church of God!!!! We are excited and grateful for one more week here in Xochmilco so that we can see this area grow!!!
