Week 54: HAY QUE ENFOCAR!! (Must Focus!!)

This week was pretty good honestly, we started out the week going out to Berriozabal to give two interviews which ended really well.  Their names are Margot and Joanna. It's a mother and daughter and I love them!!! They are amazing investigators!!!

We then went out to Coita to help Elder Schmitz with a few interviews which were also really great! The next day we had a conference with President Doman in the mission with interviews. My interview ended up just helping him do transfers which was cool. We prayed and then moved around some of the cards that have the missionaries on them. It was honestly a little stressful but cool. It's a really cool process how the transfers work.

I was also informed that I will start training someone here in Moctezuma starting next week. It will be a little tricky because Presi told me he wanted me to be outside of Tuxtla helping the other areas complete the goal. But it will be so fun. I am sooo excited for December. We set a goal of 30 for our zone and that's crazy high for Tuxtla. But it is completely possible as long as we are working faithfully and diligently!!

I really liked a message that Sister Doman shared with us this week too in the meeting. She began by explaining that she had recently been having troubles with things in their lives these past few weeks. One night she was praying to know what she needed to do and that's when she heard a clear voice say "THE WORDS INSIDE YOUR HEAD ARE SO LOUD YOU CAN'T HEAR ME".

That's golden isn't it?? It is so true. Sometimes the voices in our head are just too loud that we start to think only about ourselves. But we must try in ALL moments to search for the many blessings that our Heavenly Father really is sending us.

Satan is a jerk. He is not our friend. He just wants us to suffer like him. He wants us to feel bad, but we have the power to resist that. We always have our own agency and we can use that agency to CHOOSE to be happy and to CHOOSE to see our blessings. We have to fight with our agency to do those things because if we don't Satan will do everything he can to try to make us think only about ourselves.

So just keep fighting and everything will be alright. Just remember it's a constant fight!

Week 53: YA CUMPLÍ EL AÑO

Well this week went by soooo fast lol. It was our first week in the area, so a little interesting but good because we can start fresh. We spent a lot of the week leaving out to visit other areas so that we could help them with there investigators.

We went on Wednesday to Coita first to visit a few people and then we went to the market to buy food to make real burritos and at night we made huge burritos and burned a shirt to celebrate our year mark in the mission!!

Then on Thursday we went out to Berriozabal to help the sisters visit a family that were ready for baptism the mom just had fear. So we talked for a while but it was a little tough so one of the sisters asked if we could sing a hymn and she chose "Venid a mi" and it was perfect!!!

We sang the song and after we explained to the mom that Christ has His hands open. He is ALWAYS calling out to us to come unto Him. We just have to take the invitation to follow and everything will be alright!

She eventually agreed to be baptized on this upcoming Friday!!! So we will be looking forward to going out to check on the family again! I love seeing the change in people as they decide to live with faith and follow the Savior. It really is something amazing to see.

The rest of the week was helping in areas here in Tuxtla. This week we are looking forward to really hit this area hard to see what we can get this month and next month!!

But all is well here in TGM The Greatest Mission!!!

Week 52: Cambios??!!??!!

Hijolesss!  Well remember how in my last email I said I would be staying in Coita with Elder Schmitz??? Well that changed. We received a call the other day telling us that we had changes.  They asked us to pick them but for sure we had to change to help a few people out in the zone.

So now I'm back in Moctezuma with my new companion which is named Elder Cousicanqui. It will be fun still because I will still be traveling to help other people around the zone so that we can complete our goals!!!

Today is a short one because we had to go to the mission home for a meeting with President Doman and it went almost all Pdayyy lol. It's all good because it was a really good meeting.  We talked about what we can do better as leaders in the mission to really help all the missionaries be centered on Christ!! I will share some of the teachings in the next email but right now I gotta go!!!
